Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen rode Jerich Parzival in his first World cup qualifier of the season to victory with 85,325 %. The main goal of the season for Adelinde are of course the Olympic Games. She will only ride the World cup qualifier in Amsterdam and then the final in 's Hertogenbosch for which she is automatically qualified, being the winner of last season. Patrik Kittel finished second on Watermill Scandic H.B.C. with 80,050 %. Also for the Swedish rider it was the beginning of the season but he was very happy with his result. Patrik : " I came often to Mechelen and I forget every year how crowded it is, with the public very close to the ring. Scandic did some great things today but we build up a little bit to much tension. But I don't complain I think that we riders have to be happy to ride in front of such a big crowd, it's much more fun than to ride in an empty hall. If it's a little bit noisy you have to live with it and try to do your best."
Nadine Capellmann was very pleased with her third place. Nadine : "Elvis is feeling really super, we had a few less good seasons but now he is in great shape again. My main goal is the world cup final in s'Hertogenbosch."
Mariette Withages, judge at C, was excited about the high level of the competition and the good results of the Belgian riders.
