Of the 28 lady riders starting in the BHV Queens Cup only 4 jumped a clear round. The victory went to Stephex rider Petronella Anderson on her 19 years old Holsteiner gelding Mouse (Limbus x Grundyman XX). The Swedish girl was the first to go in the jump off and was the only one to stay clear.
Petronella:"I'm very happy to win this special class. The Queens Cup is always difficult, also for the course designer. He has to draw a course for 5*, 2* and junior riders, which is not obvious at all. I was the first starter in the jump off so I decided to go fast whitout taking to many risks. If i was clear I knew I that could win because Mouse is a fast horse. The british young rider Amy Inglis was second on Every Way, the Belgian riders Claire Putters, only 17 years old, on Fa Belle van Sombeke and Marjan De Wachter on Darcotique v. ’t Meulenhof were respectively thirth and fourth.
